Current tool outputs
Compress → MP4/H.264+AAC; Trim → MP4 by default or original container in fast copy mode; Convert → MP4/H.264+AAC or WebM/VP8+Opus; Extract audio → MP3 or WAV.
Inputs
Common MP4, MOV, MKV and WebM files may work when the bundled decoder supports their internal codecs. Extensions alone do not guarantee compatibility. Playback preview is separately limited by the browser.
Phase 2 outputs
Additional browser workflows produce MP4/H.264 with AAC when applicable, GIF animation or JPG thumbnails. Some stream-copy operations require MP4-compatible inputs. GIF files have no audio. Split creates two downloadable files; basic join creates a silent 640×360 output. Crop settings must fit the original dimensions.

Conservative limits
Phase 1 tools: up to 70 MB desktop or 30 MB mobile, 90–120 seconds. Phase 2 tools: up to 64 MB desktop or 24 MB mobile combined, with stricter GIF/reverse limits. Higher resolution and frame count may exhaust memory even below these limits. The engine is single-threaded and loaded on demand. No server transcoding fallback is available.
Accuracy and quality
Trimming with stream-copy mode is not frame accurate. Re-encoding can change quality. Converting lossy audio to WAV does not restore discarded information.
